It had a torque capacity of lb-ft and trailer towing capacity of up to 19, pounds GCWR, the highest ratings for a one-ton truck at the time. The 47RH included a lockup torque converter, hydraulically operated three-speed planetary transmission , and an electronically-controlled overdrive unit which could be locked out with a button. The 47RH transmission was essentially created by upgrading the 46RH transmission and the overdrive unit: The input shaft enlarged 0. Overdrive unit revisions included the following: The V and diesel versions of the transmission had different shift schedules to match their torque curves. The 47RH was eventually replaced by the 47RE. The 4 was the number of gears, including an overdrive; the capacity rating of 7; R for rear wheel drive; and H for hydraulic control, or E for electronic control.

What is Impedance, Anyway? As you probably know if you’ve been shopping for cables, coax for most video applications is “75 ohm” coax–but what the heck does that mean, anyway? This article is a short, non-technical explanation of impedance, and its significance in video and other circuitry, for those who have always scratched their heads at this one.
Every signal input, and every output, has an impedance–this “impedance” represents the relationship between voltage and current which a device is capable of accepting or delivering.
C4 transmission cases can be identified by their casting numbers, located on the left-hand side of the case. If the casting number begins with C4, C5, or C6, that is the C4 transmission to avoid.
Contact Us Automatic Transmission Details The Magnum engine uses the standard small block bellhousing bolt pattern, allowing for the use of , , etc. If you already have a small block V8 transmission, the engine will bolt up, but there are some important details to address first. External Balance The 5. You must use the correct parts! LA s and steel crank s, and 5. Conversely, externally balanced Chrysler small blocks have one of two arrangements.
To make life simple, be sure to get the flexplate with your engine. With the weighted flexplate, simply use a neutral balanced converter, these are readily available for most transmissions. We recommend this method. When you attach your converter, you will likely have a slight mismatch on one of the bolt holes on the Magnum flexplate. You will need to slightly enlarge one of the holes for proper fit.
We recommend a decent sized rat-tail file, which makes quick work of this task. If you do not have a stock magnum flexplate, you will have to run a neutral-balanced flexplate and use a Magnum-balanced converter.
What You Need To Know Before You Buy A GM With A R4 Transmission
Where is the automatic transmission modulator located on a Cutlass Supreme? MORE If you are changing your for a on your K with an automatic transmission will the wiring hook up and do you have to replace the computer chip? Yes,wires will hook up the same and no you dont have to change the chip.
Hookworms are intestinal, blood-feeding, parasitic roundworms that cause types of infection known as humans, hookworm infections are caused by two main species of roundworm belonging to the genera Ancylostoma, and other animals the main parasites are species of Ancylostoma.
Jesse My was purchased in at Home Depot. It has been dependable until yesterday. I put a new battery on it in April I mowed with it Wednesday. Saturday it would not start. I found out my battery is dead again. I put a new battery on it and it starts and runs great as long as you keep the brake pedal down. If I release the brake it dies. If I engage the blade with it running with the brake pedal down that also kills it.
So now I’m trying to find a wiring diagram. I think my problem is a safety switch but I don’t know which one it is. It has one under the seat, one on the brake, one on the PTO and a reverse button to use while mowing and backing up.

How do you replace a transmission vacuum modulator on a Ford Aerostar? This is from a Chilton’s manual: The vacuum control modulator is accessible from under the vehicle on the driver’s side. Disconnect the Negative battery cable. Raise the v…ehicle and support it safely on jackstands. From underneath the vehicle, remove the vacuum hose attached to the vacuum assembly.
Nov 23, · Re: Re-hook up of lock up converter «Reply #8 on: November 21, , AM» i have an 85 c10 with a c the only thing under the hood that controls the lockup is a vacuum switch on the firewall next to the brake booster.
Part of that research included lab tests on machines that suck up seawater and spray it into the air, seeding white clouds that reflect rays of sunlight away from Earth. If all goes well, Silver Lining plans to test the process with 10 ships spread throughout square miles of ocean.. Do such weather-generating fleets already exist? Another popular site that reports on Geoengineering, by the way, is Geoengineering Watch by Dane Wigington.
Very informative and interesting. That idea would likely be considered outlandish by meteorologists and scientists.
Where does the vacuum go on motor on a c6 transmission with a w motor
The bell housing on the C4 is removable and could potentially be bolted on a newer transmission, however some transmissions are all one piece. What are my options? Do they sell adapter kits? Whats the highest tech one that will work?
I recently started having issues with the Dodge Caravan transmission again. Previously, the problem was traced down to a bad speed sensor; the symptoms included an erratic speedometer and cruise-control that kept hunting for the right speed. (That’s an output speed sensor issue, by the way).
Rebuilds can cost just as much as a replacement, depending on the extent of the damage. Transmissions are responsible for shifting gears automatically or manually to dynamically change the speed-torque ratio in order to deliver power to the wheels in an efficient manner based on the speed of the vehicle. The reason for this is that engines output a high rotational speed which cannot be used for low speeds or starting. Factors that Affect the Cost The cost of transmission repair varies widely based on a number of factors, the most important of which is the type and extent of the repairs being performed by the mechanic.
If the transmission needs to be completely replaced or rebuilt, drivers can expect to pay several thousand dollars for parts and skilled labor, while a few minor repairs and a fluid change will only be a couple hundred dollars. Extent of the damage. What the car has been through can also affect the price as newer cars that have been well maintained will cost less than those that have been through tough times. Considerably older or rarer cars are harder to find parts for, which also increases the cost.
Some shops charge higher prices than others for the same work due to marketing, location, reputation, etc. Symptoms of a Problem There are a number of symptoms of a damaged or worn out transmission to watch for, some of which are listed below. Each type of repair has different procedures and costs associated with it. A full transmission replacement is one of the most expensive procedures a mechanic can perform on a vehicle. However, it can also cost just as much or more than replacement in cases when there are major issues that need to be addressed.
It all depends on how comprehensive the repairs are:

This page started life as a small section on my GMC Suburban page, but quickly took on a life of it’s own. This was the final problem I had to solve so I could complete the installation of the new TH R4 transmission and hook up the throttle valve TV cable to the carburetor linkage. What is a TV cable?
The TV cable goes between the throttle linkage on the carb and down to the transmission to control the overall pressure inside the transmission which in turn drives shift firmness and various other details. It is how the transmission knows how much throttle you are giving the engine so that the transmission can do the right thing. Do not make the mistake of thinking the TV cable is just a simple kickdown cable as used on other transmissions!
Run transmission cooler lines parallel with the engine/transmission package all the way to the radiator or transmission cooler. This eliminates any chance of leakage and is much safer. Another important consideration with an AOD swap is the manual shift linkage and column shift versus floor shift.
Links Background When reading the literature on telephones, the subscriber loop line impedance is often given as or Ohms. This seemed correct for the open wire lines that used glass insulators on poles but not for modern unshielded twisted Pairs UTP which have an advertised impedance of about Ohms. Why’s This Important To get maximum power transfer though a long cable you need to be operating in a matched condition. Basics A transmission line has a constant line impedance Zo when operated well above it’s corner frequency.
This is the published Zo line impedance value. Well below the corner frequency the line impedance increases one order of magnitude for each two decades of frequency decrease. This is not caused by variation in the resistance of the wire or by changes in the dielectric constant of the insulation, but rather it’s just a result of the math for the impedance. Zo Characteristic Impedance The characteristic impedance of a line is the impedance you would see at one end of a transmission line of infinite length.
Zo is the complex line impedance.

If your speedometer reads wrong, don’t suffer. A very easy operation. Simply lift the front of the car and find the cable going to the side of the tranny. The cable is removed easily and the gear slides into a metal housing that also is easily pried out of the tranny with a screwdriver. You need to calculate how far off your speedo is before you pull the gear.
Nov 14, · C4 trans kickdown rod attachment to the carb pics Well, I’m finally getting around to hooking up the transmission kickdown on my C4/ combo (I’ve never had one on the car). I’ve got an Edelbrock RPM airgap intake and a one inch spacer under a cfm street avenger carb.
I am putting a 91 T-Bird 5. It has been years since I pulled the powertrain out of the T-Bird, so my having problems remembering some of the little things now. Does this come up on the passenger side? Anyone have a decent photo of how this should look? My guess is to a bracket on the lower intake, pass side rear. Accel linkage attachment to AOD. T-Bird was floor shift, I want the truck to be column shift. Powertrain is in truck now. I am guessing I probably should have dropped the trans pan and rotated the shifter arm.
